The signal here comes from an island across the ocean. I think this is close to 50 miles away, so I do a fair amount of research before buying. This phone seems to get significantly better reception in this area than my previous Motorola phones (Razr Maxx and Droid X). Calls and texts are received in rooms and areas where they previously weren't. The processor is faster than my other phones. No problem there for me. Battery life here can be tricky since it drains quickly while searching for signal. But while in Honolulu where signal was not much of a problem, it was on for 48+ hours with low to moderate usage (a few 3-5 minute calls, some internet and email, no streaming) and there was still 48% left.
Verizon didn't have this phone or any Sony phone while I was shopping so I bought a used one. It came in good condition. I have read reviews that said that it was tricky to hold or slippery due to it's being glass on both sides. Thus was not an issue for me. I did buy a case for it as it is glass. The only real downside for me is that the spell correct seems to be way off compared to my previous phones and it doesn't seem to learn very fast.

Before this, I've owned exactly three smartphones. Every single one started off running well, but quickly deteriorated into piles of garbage. I do not baby my phones, so they get rained on, dropped, etc. Being waterproof has become an absolute essential feature in any phone I will ever buy, ever again. Finally, it seems maybe we're getting to a point where a waterproof, reasonably tough phone can also perform very well. So far, the xperia is fast, smooth, with a great display and battery. I haven't charged it for a day and a half, it still has 70% battery (with low use). If it continues to hold up, it will probably be my favorite phone. Unfortunately, it is a little too big. I just really don't see a reason for a phone this big. I wanted an xperia compact, but verizon doesn't carry those, of course. It seems like all the interesting phones are locked up by the other guys.

This is my third SONY cell phone. My first SONY was an Ericsson 301i. I was so impressed by the 7 year performance of the original battery in that phone that I decided another SONY was a must have, so I bought an Xperia Z3V in Black. I also like the waterproof feature as I spend a lot of time outdoors in all types of weather. After using it for a year I decided that I wanted it in white and bought this one, the black one is now a backup in the event of loss or damage. This phone is very powerful and will get more bars in a low service area than an iPhone and the battery does not drain quickly when media is used.

The Xperia Z3v White looks so much better in real life than in the pictures. The silver edges and the power button look great, of which I didn't think so at first from the pictures. Everyone notices my phone and ask "what kind of phone is that." If you don't know if it's waterproof, search up online how to check if its waterproof without using water. I did it, and it worked! Later testing it in water without any effects. HOWEVER, front facing camera software is very bad from the stock camera app, you have to download a different camera app to get better selfies! Would recommend over any other phone except Sony Xperia Z4 or Z5.

Sharp looking phone except hard to come across a good case. The phone gets hot pretty quick and then unable to use it. The 20 pixel it's just OK my gf has s7 we compared pics and videos and even a 4k video of you tube and must say THE s7 DOES have better resolution I know newer tech... The Sony did have a better RED but other colors the s7 I'm still happy with it good size to hold I would say more delicate to hold than your normal phones due to glass on both sides

I really don't know why this handset isn't more popular. Everything it does is soo smooth and fluid like. You can just feel the quality in your hands! Even in today's market it's still a great phone! This is coming from an iPhone user. I spent a great deal of time comparing and shopping for the best bang for my buck. I read and watched many reviews, even ones that compared Xperia z, z2, z3, z3pluse and z5. You just can't get a better water and dust resistive phone for the money.

Phone arrived, First thing I noticed was the screen on the bottom right had a little bit white bleed into the screen and the screen itself was not flush with the device, Something internally is pushing the screen out separating it from the right side of the phone.
Device runs smooth and Camera app is working correctly.
Will attempt to fix the little issues myself.
Due to the screen bleed and separation of the screen, I will have to give this a 4 star.

Overall a pretty good phone.
My favorite feature is the long battery life. I can normally make it 24+ hours on a charge and if you get low there is a "Stamina" mode that extends it even further!
Cosmetically, I think it is on par with iPhone's. Glass back and beveled edges.
The camera takes pretty good pictures. However the front facing camera is lacking in darker rooms.
I would recommend this phone to a friend.

The screen is clear and bright. The processor is fast with very little lag. The rear camera takes quality photos. The phone looks cool. Sound quality is pretty good from the speakers.
There are 2 draw-backs; first there is no front flash so you need good lighting to use the camera. Second, The case is all glass which looks wicked, but I dropped my phone and the back cover broke.
